Travel: a natural high
TRAVEL – a natural high
Travel not only offers the possibility of high adventure, (and a natural high), but it can also provide a new vantage point, a fresh perspective from which to understand our lives and our world.
But what about when we can’t travel far and wide?
Then the words below might hit home…
“Travel with curiosity. It is not how far you go, but how deeply you go that mines the gold of experience. Thoreau wrote a big book about tiny Walden Pond.”
– Wilferd A. Peterson (1900-1995)
Is there somewhere close by in your neck of the woods where you can go to reflect… and see things with a fresh perspective?
Or to go further afield, is there a trip you could start to plan? Somewhere you’ve always wanted to explore?
Get a buzz just thinking about it!
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
PS. This photo was taken a few days ago by an old school mate in Australia, who climbed the legendary Ayers Rock (Uluru), and then clearly having no fear of heights, decided to go even higher in a helicopter where he took this breathtaking shot. If you have any photos you’d like to get out there, to be a background for inspirational quotes, feel free to post/ message me.
